1. I would like to be included in  the Camp Blog for I believe that every teacher

in this day and age must be at par with all the fast-paced developments that  happen all around him/her so he/she can be effective in guiding the students and helping them learn.  It would be unthinkable for a teacher these days not to be knowledgeable of what goes on in the web and all the stuff  it offers when all his/her students are so well-versed with it.  Teachers are supposed to be leaders in every way, so we live up to that.

1. As a teacher, the web is a rich and versatile source of various materials I need to make my classroom activities interesting and exciting for my students.  It is also a very convenient teaching aid for I use many of what it features in my lessons, something that has been effective in bringing about favorable results and achieving goals that I want my students to achieve.  Kudos to CICT, of course, and the Ischool Project Coordinator of EVSU, Tacloban City, we have the equipment in our laboratory school because of them.  Soar higher Ischool and CICT!

1. I would like to believe that I excel in English…if I don’t say so, my students would not want to come to my class anymore!  Just kidding…

I love all areas of English – language, literature, speaking, reading, but I love writing best of all.  I write a lot…in my journal, in my notebooks of insights and ideas, and what more…I read what others have written – monuments of great ideas from   great minds.

Furthermore, in my class it is an avenue for many of my students who might find it difficult to express themselves in other class activities but in writing they feel free to do such.  I love reading what they write in their journals.

1. I think blogging is the high-tech word for journaling so I can encourage my students to do their journals on line, something that they can do anytime, anywhere as long as there’s a computer and internet connection.  And a convenient way for me to check their compositions anytime, anywhere even when I’m away on seminars and trainings.

Posting articles that can be helpful to other students and teachers would also be a great idea.  Hence, an exchange of articles or ideas from one school to another  can benefit both students and teachers as well as their administrators.

1. The realization of the importance of blogging and consciousness of its demand in the set-up of the present generation house in my heart and mind. With fervor, therefore, I desire to be a part of the camp blog.
The intention that I bear is anchored on the thinking that I would be able to share  and perpetuate the culture of blogging in the school and community that I am a part of.
I am seeing myself as a willing and able medium to cause the transfer of this 21st Century Skill from the few to the many especially in the setting to where I dwell Zamboanga, Mindanao

Being a teacher by profession, I am constantly surfing the web in search of pieces of information, in verifying data, and in finding supplemental materials paving the enhancement of classroom instructions.
Further, on a personal level, I involve myself in chatting, blog reading, video streaming, email sending and receiving from which I attain meaningful satisfaction. In addition, due to these activities one is enabled to understand the different cultures, philosophies, beliefs and contentions that cause the expansion of one’s horizon.

Literature, a subject that directly involves man and his experiences and a topic that capsulates humanity’s history, proves to be very interesting for me.
The enduring expressions of significant human experiences appeal not only to the intellect but to the heart and spirit as well. Being so, the totality of every person is in it contained-his ideals, his greatest desires, his learning experiences, his spiritual quest, his unconquerable spirit, his ordeals and triumphs…
Noting the nature of the subject, I am greatly and deeply fond of it-eventually, excel in it.

What topic do I  like about the subject?
The vast creative expression of human feelings-Poetry through it, one is able to comprehend complex ideas such as love, devotion, faith and hope. Further, with it, understanding the existence of hate, infidelity, vengeance, bitterness can be attained.
Moreover, poetry serves a metaphorical mirror that reflects every person’s personality prompting him to critically appraise himself-his purpose of existence, his role in the society, his human nature and his distinct persona.

Making use of blogging as a vehicle to deliver to my students their assignments, activity instructions, projects and academic compositions will offer opportunities to students to imbibe in themselves the essence of blogging.
Through such strategy, sharing of knowledge will be done within network of friends and will not be isolated in the academic circle but will advance and even reach to the different members of the society.

1.) Why should I be included in Camp Blog?

Blog is a product of modern technology where in you may use it for purposes such as communication, entertainment and etc. I should be included in this great opportunity to join Camp Blog because of the knowledge I have about blogging. This could be a chance for me to globally competitive and comprehensive. This is also an advantage to know more about interesting ideas through blogging.

This Camp Blog is my stepping stone of new ideas for me to use in my future needs. In my case, I’m studying there are many research works should be done and through blogging this could be easier for me to do those research works. If I will be given a chance I can improve my skills and knowledge about blogging through Camp Blog.

2.) What are my experiences as a user of the web and other new media technologies?

As I grow old I was exposed in the use of web and other new media technologies and I can say that I have the different traits and capabilities in using the web.

As an internet addict I love to surf different classified ads most especially when they are in nowadays such as Friendster, Facebook and yahoo where in most of the people use for chatting and communicating people globally. I can say that neither surfing the web nor blogging is a form of entertainment, communication, and it is needed nowadays. Surfing the web could broaden our ideas in mind because it adds new and interesting ideas for different purposes especially for us students who are studying because it is where student mostly spend their time researching ideas.

3.) What subject do I excel in? What specific topics do I like best about blogging?

Web and other media technologies are made because to make our lives easy and worth-living. It is where we can find entertainment, communication and learning. There are different web links where in I excel such as Friendster, Facebook and yahoo those are the web link I’m in to because of communication with my family, friends and other relatives of mine. Sometimes when I feel bored I always go to Youtube, mp3-codes and different web link where in if find entertaining. In research works I often go to those blogs contain various multimedia content that has broadcast outlines. I really like topics where in we can earn money just like different classified ads that give prizes and adverting with high paying ads because nowadays people are in need of money and I am one of it.

4.) What are my proposed strategies in maximizing the advantages of blogging for leaning (for students)?

There are many ways in maximizing the advantages of blogging most especially with the rise of modern technologies.                 There are many ways such as updating them different in formations with the help of different classified ads, encourage comments on the blog, find readers of different blogs, participate in different blog projects, web forum, advertise and explore other formats of communication.

Blogging is very much important nowadays to keep us informed wherever we are whatever we do. This is really an advantage for us students to broaden our minds with new ideas we can find through blogging.

. Why should I be included in Camp Blog?
To be a part of a camp blog is a great challenge and opportunity. I don’t have a wide knowledge about camp blog. Its just happen that our head tells us to grab this opportunity as a recipient in CICT Ischool Projects,so I try. Not perfectly assuming that I’ll be qualified. As what I had surf in the net about blogging, its about giving your thoughts, opinions, comments, critics by using the web. So, for me I want to be included in this camp blog because I want also to learn about blogging. I am not expert on this field but I am able to learn and explore about camp blogging. Maybe there are lot of advantages that I’ll be benefited on it. In our school, it is not very familiar with the students mostly with the teacher. So, if given a chance to be one of the participants, I’m very thankful. If this is really opportunity given to me, to learn about camp blog then I grab it.

2. What are my experiences as a user of the web and other new media technologies?

My experiences as a user of the web and other new media technologies, first, I felt embarrassed because I’m not used to surf in the net. But since the net was installed already in our school, a lot of us so eager to surf right after it was installed. Even myself, dreaming of having an e-mail add, chatting with friends somewhere around in the continent, surfing the latest news, entertainment, everything that the net will provide. But, first, silently, I observed our computer laboratory in-charged, on how he open it, until I learn. So, from that moment I can operate it easily on how to surf in the different website. As a user of the web, my experience is somewhat shameful, coz I maybe consider as obsolete when it comes to surfing. Honestly, I dont have time to explore in the net, busy with my work and I dont have a computer in our home but gladly we have in our school. But how I wish to have this internet in our school, so my wish was granted when the installation done already. It is now part of my daily routine in school to have time in surfing the web not just for pleasure but for the type of work I have now. Subscribing the web for me, is very usefull.

3.What subject do I excel in? What specific topics do I like best about this subject?

The subject do I excel is in Math. I love algebra and also other topics in math. I like difficult topics in math which makes me interest to solve. In college i like calculos also but when i am teaching i forgot it already because i was asign in first year high school. I handling Science and computer at this present, i was asign as an incharge in our computer laboratory in campus-1 at Tukuran Comprehensive National High School, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.

4.What are my proposed strategies in maximizing the advantages of blogging for teaching ( if teachers/ ) / learning ( for students) ?

As a teacher, my proposed strategies in maximizing the advantages of blogging for teaching, first, I doubt if it is correct but still I insist this, there should a proper training for teacher about blogging because not all teacher are familiar with blogging, its new for those who are not fond surfing the net; second, although it is found in the net of what is really blogging if you really search it but somebody will ignore it, if it is not properly disseminated to the teachers or without proper information they would just say, its just another burden for their part as a teacher. If they know the importance of it, maybe they will encourage to engage on it. Last, the teacher are willing to cooperate about blogging as long as they have also the internet in their home or even in their respective school..

1.      Why should I be included in Camp Blog?

Camp Blog will give me a great opportunity to learn more about blogging so that I can have a good chance for my voice to be heard across the globe. I could share my knowledge with people who are eager to learn. I have seen the blogs of celebrities. I would like to learn how to make a blog on my own. But unlike those celebrities I would blog about more important issues rather than discussing about how hot Robert Patinson is, I would like to share ideas with people, opinions about issues and the like. I am sure that I will not disappoint you if you chose me.

2.      What are my experiences as a user of the web and other new media technologies?

I have been using the net since I was seven when I had to learn how to chat with my mother who was studying in Australia.  Since then I have been hooked.  I am able meet people from all over the world. It helps  me understand that different people have different opinions and views about things; it helped me to appreciate and accept their own outlook on things. Other experiences in the web include the use of faceboook and friendster. It helps me get in touch with relatives that are too far to personally be with. But with the use of Faceboook I could upload pictures and update them on what’s happening here thus making us feel closer no matter how many miles away we were from each other. However, not all my experiences have been pleasant. I have been the victim of nasty shout outs and I have had my picture vandalized. But these have not discouraged me because there is more benefits to using the net than danger. I just have to know the right way to protect myself.

3.      What subject do I excel in? What specific topics do I like best about this subject?

The subject in which I excel in is English. I like English because I like the assignments in which we would have to read novels or stories then the next day we would discuss it and give our opinions about it. I also like making essays. That I believe is one of my strong points. I feel that when I’m composing essays the ideas I have flow easily unto the ink and paper in my hand. It feels like I’m just having a conversation with my friends. I also get high grades in English. That’s why I like English.

4.      What are my proposed strategies in maximizing the advantages of blogging for teaching (if teachers) |     learning (for students)?

I believe that the teachers should know really what is blogging and has tried, so when she teaches it to her students she can really help them based on experience. As a student I believe that the best way to help us learn about blogging is to explain to us first about blogging, the rules in blogging and the like. So we could really comprehend what blogging is. Then the teachers now should give us the opportunity to make our own blogs. They should also teach the ethics of blog making like we shouldn’t bash other people in blogging etc.

The subject do I excel is in MAPEH. I was handling Mapeh subject in our school. This is my field of specialization. I have the skills and talent in Sports, either dual or individual sports. I love sports because I have this athletic type of body. When it come to physical fitness, I am physically fit. I can coach and know how to manage the games. My best individual sports is Badminton, specially in single division. In MAPEH, there is also Arts in here, I can paint but not for contest piece. Dancing is one of the topic in MAPEH specifically in Physical Education. I can dance modern and folk dances also.

1. Today, the surge of technological change has advanced making everyone connected with the rest of the world any time, any where at a click of the fingers, I want to ride with the flow of the tide.  I want the world to know my thoughts.  I want to sustain my passion for writing, making the web my instrument but I just do not know how and where to start… The Camp Blog could be the answer… this could be the softest knock of an opportunity to enhance and hone my blogging skills.

1. There are lots of experiences I had as a user of the web.  It keeps me abreast with new teaching ideas and I even made use of it as a tool for teaching and learning.  I have discovered all sorts of web pages that are useful in enhancing learning among my students. I also use it as a tool for communicating people through electronic mails and by joining social networks.

1. Literature, law and politics interest me; but since my area of specialization back in college was English, thus I think I excel in literature being a part of the curriculum.  I like reading essays, novels, and short stories.  I am inclined in poetry writing too.

1. First is advocacy and promotion among fellow academicians. Many educators are still unfamiliar about blogging and how can this be an excellent medium of sharing knowledge via the web.  Second is blogging to learn – that is keeping track with new blogs and updates which are useful in the academe and which enrich the learning experience of both the readers and the bloggers.

• Why should I be included in Camp Blog?

Basically, I believe that I deserve to be included in Camp Blog for three main reasons. First, prior to this event, I am greatly interested in writing. Since blogging is simply writing thoughts online, I suppose it will not be a problem for me in terms of my writing skills. Secondly, I am also an active blogger. I think that this activity will further incline me to blogging. This will widen my skills and knowledge about it. Lastly, I know that the Camp Blog will be a worthwhile and valuable activity as a whole. It will be a great experience that everyone would like to have. For the above-mentioned, I think that I should be considered for this event.

• What are my experiences as a user of the web and other new media technologies?

Lots of sites online are actually visited by web users online, like me . Mostly, I visit social networking sites. This includes my blog. Once in a while, I update it. Sites like this are significant in my daily life because I am able to express myself online. And I believe that the present generation is having a similar situation as with me. New media technologies have also influenced day-to-day living. Most importantly, the world-wide web has basically almost everything you need to know and you want to do. Thanks to the advancement because I am able to do new things now.

• What subject do I excel in? What specific topics do I like best about this subject?

Over the years, I excel in the English subject. The specific thing about English that interests me the most is the improvement of writing skills. Through this subject, I am able to learn a lot of new things and I am able to enhance my abilities. Writing is my passion. This is the major reason as to why I like the English subject. I am able to interact and communicate well because of English. And for me, it is very much advantageous for a student to be good in English nowadays to be able to meet the world’s status quo.

• What are my proposed strategies in maximizing the advantages of blogging for learning?

Generally, what is happening today can answer this question. At present, there are innovative ways of teaching. So far, technology has proven worth to effective learning. Students not merely learn from books or from reading. It is of great importance that we move forward as the world does. We could maximize the advantages of blogging for learning by conducting seminars for students, as well as teachers, for them to be oriented or further be informed about blogs and the web. Camp Blog is one better example of one meaningful activity that can maximize the pros of blogging to a more effective way of learning.

1.      Why should I be included in Camp Blog?

In the new era of teaching, teacher/s like me should be aware of the new technology/ies in able to cope-up to the new trend of inculcating /imparting knowledge to the students, thus if given the opportunity to be one of the few, i can also be a part of the latest way of teaching methodology where their is a sharing of ideas.

2.      What are my experiences as a user of the web and other new media technologies?

Most teachers in the remote areas like us where opportunity/ies is very little, experience/s in the     using of web and other way of communication methods through net/ computer are also very little         because most likely we are not familiar with the different forms or way/s of communication in the             computer, internet in particular. coz i myself only knew chatting, and sending emails . .

3.      What subject do I excel in? What specific topics do I like best about this subject?

As a Math teacher, i excel most in algebra though i love geometry. . .the topics i like best are:         sytem of linear equation and the different ways of solving its solution set/s, solving problem regarding       linear equations, the use of linear equation to our daily life,  kinds of variation and its application to our     daily life situation.

4.      What are my proposed strategies in maximizing the advantages of blogging for teaching (if teachers) |     learning (for students)?

blogging plays an important role to teaching nowadays as we face to the world of the new generation where information of communication technology. one strategy is to include blogging as one of their project where student can be able to share their knowledge in a certain topic. secondly; one way of communication or imparting knowledge to the student when a certain teacher is out of town.
